What will you learn?

(Master in Data Science) In the Master in Data Science you discover the world of data analysis, machine learning and big data. You learn how to collect, process and analyze complex datasets to gain valuable insights. During the program you develop skills in programming languages like Python and R, as well as knowledge of statistical techniques and algorithms. The study focuses not only on technical skills, but also on critical thinking and problem-solving ability. You learn how to make data-driven decisions and how to communicate effectively with stakeholders. What makes this master's special is the combination of theory and practice; you work on real-life projects and get the chance to collaborate with companies. This way you are well prepared for a career in various sectors, from technology to healthcare, where data analysis plays a crucial role.

Required Education

For admission to the Master in Data Science you need a completed WO bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field such as mathematics, computer science, physics or econometrics. An HBO bachelor's can also provide access, but then you often have to complete a pre-master program first. For the preparatory education, the VWO profile Nature & Technology (N&T) fits best, because you get mathematics B and physics there. Mathematics B is essential for this study because of the statistical and algorithmic components. As alternative admission you can enter through a 21+ test or colloquium doctum if you don't have the right preparatory education.
